22. I’ve never had my heart broken as a result of a relationship. I haven’t been in many relationships, so I guess that’s not surprising. And I’m extremely self-protective, which is because my heart has a layer of scar tissue from friendships gone awry. I’ve had a few friendships through the years that have been downright abusive (and one of those was a roommate situation... remind me to elaborate in December when I've returned to regular format). If I have trust issues, which I have been accused of having, that’s why. I have recently been disappointed by a couple of friends, and I don’t think they realize how injured I am as a result of their (seemingly innocuous) actions. Can someone break your heart and not even know it? Or at least bruise it a little?
23. One of my college professors once described me as being “intellectually prickly” in an academic progress meeting. I agreed with him. He seemed pleasantly surprised that I had done so, made some comment about how it was good that I knew myself, and never brought it up again. I've been trying to work on that character flaw ever since.
24. Today is the two month anniversary of my blog (I started it on September 8th, 2007, for those of you who aren't math whizzes). In those two months, there have been 1,077 visits and 1,729 page views by 418 "unique visitors" (although I'm not entirely certain as to what that means). There have been visits from 19 countries (including visits from Ghana, Peru and New Zealand, and repeat visits from Norway, Malaysia and Chile. Just thought those were unusual countries. Mexico, Canada, and the UK make a lot more sense in my head. And even Germany, because I think they got here by googling Vince Vaughn or something. I have a suspicion that Germany is filled with pop culture geeks).
Within the USA, the hits have come from 183 cities in 39 "regions" (which means 38 states and D.C.). 54 of the hits have come from Houghton, MI (which looks to be in the upper peninsula) and I have no idea who it could be that loves my blog that much (but hey, Houghton person, thanks for visiting 54 times in, like 60-some days. That's awesome. WHO ARE YOU??? Please post in comments if you know it's you. It's been driving me nuts). I'd like to also thank my fans in Nesconset, Lowell, Akron, Raleigh, and Tonawanda, as I have a feeling there's only one fan in each of those cities and they're still racking up hits. Other cities with large numbers of repeated viewings are Lansing, South Bend, and Chicago, but that really isn't surprising since I've lived in all three and made friends there (not that I don't love you all for reading. I do. Please come back). And it would be more surprising that New York is the state with the second most hits (behind Illinois, but I'm sure that, like, 90% of those are me), except for that I have a feeling they're all coming here from Broadway World (hello my BWW buddies!).
Also, turns out this whole "updating daily" thing gives me more hits. When I was updating bi-weekly, I was averaging around 8 hits a day (that's a rough guess based on a bar graph). Lately, I've been averaging 15 hits a day. Which is awesome. See, I thought that no one was going to want to read this in November, as I was pretty sure it'd be boring. But apparently, it's not all that boring. Because people in Malaysia wouldn't waste their time if it were (my logic is flawless).
Anyway. Happy Two-Month-iversary to my blog. And thank you all for coming. You have no idea how much it means to me that people are willing to read what I'm writing. It makes me feel a little less alone. And it helps my heart heal from its bruises. And actually, I feel a little more valuable to society. But that's an issue I'll have to expound upon another day. As it is, I'll be late for work if I don't stop typing.

Happy 2 month blog! What site do you use for tracking?
I take credit for Tonawanda! Hi Aiea; this is Amy! :) Technically I live in Amherst, but Tonawanda is close by. Anyway, I find your blog entertaining and thought-provoking and you are definitely a person that I want to keep in touch with! I'm also addicted to checking checkable internet things (my emails, facebook, cnn, livejournal... your blog, etc) So anyway here I am and perhaps I will comment more in the future :)
To Suggs (and anyone else who is interested) - I use Google Analytics. And I added StatCounter a few weeks ago because a person was posting comments while impersonating someone else and I wanted to be able to track IP addresses (which Analytics doesn't do), but that person hasn't posted since... I also have Feedburner, so that tells me how many people have signed up for my feed (which is currently 9, and two of those are me).
To Amy - YAY! I'm so excited that you're reading! Oh, I miss you. I MIGHT be in Michigan for New Years (very, very, very tentative... don't hold me to that). If I am, I'll give you a all. And yes, please comment. Warms me up like hot cocoa when people do.
wow, almost all of #22 is so relatable for me (not the roommate part, but that's about it). I'm sorry to hear that you've had hurtful friendships, but it is kind of nice to know I'm not the only one who has trust issues from that.
I'm Lowell, if you hadn't guessed. Although technically we don't live in Lowell, we live in Dracut. But much like Okemos, people don't know where that is, so we have to say "It's a suburb of..."
To Julia - I'm sorry that you can relate. But I'm also selfishly happy because it means I'm not alone.
To Heidi - Love you! Thanks for reading on a regular basis. :)
